Tales From the Road (a Blues Blog) ... Chapter One

As I sit this evening, pouring over my endless "to do" list, I became distracted with a thought that has passed through my ever wandering mind (more about that on another day): on many occasions while we've traveled down the highways and interstates from show to show  I've considered starting this blog, but that familiar dissenting voice that we all have warned me over and over that no one may be interested to read about the stories and andedotes of my  life on the road with the Norman Jackson Band.  Tonight, I've decided to go ahead and embark on the journey of translating my thoughts through my fingertips.  I hope that you'll join me on the crazy adventure that is being a working Blues musician.  This is me bringing you inside the truck, backstage before the show, and in the hotel rooms after you "stained the walls with sweat and soul" with the BADDEST SOUL BAND IN THE LAND, the Norman Jackson Band.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my travels with you.  I hope you'll laugh, smile, and perhaps even gain a new perspective of what it's like to play the music we're deeply in love with all over the world.

Today is just an introduction.  I will do my best to remain regular with my journaling, but never to do it for the sake of doing it.  I'll always be honest, sincere, and transparent with you.  All of you have become family to me during this crazy dream come true tour and I am so blessed to be able to share my thoughts and heart with so many amazing folks.  So, with that, I'll stop here and remind you to do something awesome for someone else and for yourself today!

Never Stop.  Never, EVER stop!
